Berglind — Knitting Kit

Berglind by Tove Richter is a classic Nordic sweater with a striking colorwork yoke inspired by blue seas and brown mountains. Knit in Ístex Léttlopi, the design pairs a soft white body with rich contrasting shades and a tall, cozy neck for a timeless cold-weather look.

You also need 4 stitchmarkers (wise to have 2 different colors, one for the stitch marking the start of the round, and an other color for the other tree) and tapersty needle. Please note that these items are not included in our kits, so make sure you have them on hand or purchase them separately before you begin.

Gauge

18 stitches in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 cm.

Construction

The sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Short rows are worked on the back of the sweater to bring the front of the collar lower than the back, and the stranded yoke is worked from a chart.
