This practical knitted sweater dress has lovely twinkling jewels adorning the hem and yoke. Hence the name – gimsteinn is Icelandic for jewel. Magical nature, glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls and hot springs are certainly the first things that come to mind about Iceland. All of this inspired Johanna to design this beautiful and practical dress, with lovely jewels sparkling on the hem and yoke. The dress is nice to wear with leggings.
Johanna Vaurio-Teräväinen, or Johannavau, is a Finnish knitting designer whose passion for Iceland and Icelandic horses led her to specialize in Icelandic knitting and she finds inspiration in the rich colors of Icelandic yarns.
