Hnoðri — Knitting pattern

Hnoðri (“Chick”) celebrates small footsteps over mossy ground. Worked with two strands of Plötulopi for durability and loft, it’s constructed in the round with a purled steek at the front and finished with sturdy button bands.

Circular 4.5 & 5.5 mm (40 & 60 cm); DPN 4.5 & 5.5 mm; crochet hook 4.5 mm; 5 buttons.

Gauge
Plötulopi 2‑ply: 14 sts × 19 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette on 5.5 mm needles.

Construction
Work body and sleeves in the round; join for yoke and follow charted decreases. Secure purled steek, cut, and pick up for bands and neckband. Block to size.
