Knitting needles

• For 4‑3‑2 hat: Circular 8 mm (40 cm) and 6.5 mm (40 cm or dpn); DPN 5.5 mm
• For 6‑5‑4 hat: Circular 10 mm (40 cm) and 9 mm (40 cm or dpn); DPN 8 mm

Gauge
4‑3‑2 hat: 10 sts × 15 rows = 10 × 10 cm on 8 mm in 4‑ply Plötulopi.
6‑5‑4 hat: 8.5 sts × 12 rows = 10 × 10 cm on 10 mm in 6‑ply Plötulopi.

Construction
Both hats are knit in the round: begin with the thickest ply and step down (4‑3‑2) or start very thick and step down (6‑5‑4); finish with simple, evenly spaced crown decreases and draw closed.
