Dots — small dots or big dots — inspire the Punktar cardigan. The design merges playful dot motifs with classic Icelandic construction. With its steeked front and practical shaping, it is both a technical and rewarding knit.

Knitting needles & notions

• Circular needles 4.5 mm (40 and 60–80 cm)
• Circular needle 3.5 mm (80 cm)
• Double pointed needles 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm
• 7 buttons

Gauge
18 sts and 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in St st using 4.5 mm needles. Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary.

Construction
Body and sleeves are worked in the round to underarm, then joined for the yoke. Short rows shape the neck, and the steeked front is secured and cut open for button bands. Finishing includes seed stitch borders, machine-sewn steek reinforcement, and button fastening.
