Skull Lopapeysa — Knitting Kit

Skull Lopapeysa is a striking statement sweater designed by Olga Begak. Knit in Ístex Léttlopi, it combines the classic Icelandic lopapeysa silhouette with a dramatic skull motif around the yoke. The combination of light beige, murky brown, white, and black gives the design a moody, graphic look while keeping it wearable and timeless.

Gauge

18 stitches × 23 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in in stockinette stitch.

Construction

Body and sleeves are worked separately in the round from the lower edge to the underarms, then joined to work the yoke in the round. Short rows shape the back before the skull motif chart is worked. Seed stitch is used at the hem, cuffs, and neckband for a textured finish.
