Knitting needles & notions

3.5 mm (US 4) and 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles, 40 and 60 cm; 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double pointed needles; 4 buttons.

Gauge

18 sts and 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm measured over St st using 4.5 mm needles. Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary.

Construction

Rib at the bottom of body and sleeves is worked back and forth, then the body is joined and worked in the round to the underarms. Sleeves are worked in the round, then joined to the body; yoke is worked back and forth with raglan shaping. A purl-stitch steek runs up the front; machine-sew the steek before cutting. Work front bands back and forth after cutting.
