Súla — Knitting pattern

Original design by: Védís Jónsdóttir — Súla is a contemporary vest pattern highlighting posture and balance. The central column detail enhances the simple shape, worked seamlessly from shoulders down in vibrant Léttlopi.

Knitting needles & notions

• Circular needle 4.5 mm (80 cm)

Gauge
18 sts and 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in St st using 4.5 mm needles. Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary.

Construction
Vest is worked from the shoulders down. Back and front are first worked flat, joined at armholes, and body is continued in the round. Seed stitch borders are added, and a distinctive spinal column pattern runs down the back.
